Default Skymaster F-18 Servo question

I am ordering the servos for the Hornet, and was wondering if you all are using the jr3421's on Ailerons that are recommended on the website. Also, what are you all using on the rudders? Thanks in advance, nick

Nick,

You can use JR DS 168, Multiplex digital Super FL wing servo or Hitec HS-125MG wing servo for the Rudders

I would be cautious about the Hitec servo. We had a SM Hawk lost when one of these stripped its gears. The resultant flutter broke the fin. Its not the first time I have come accross this particular servo doing this, but never before with such disasterous results. The gears are apperantly Aluminium! I know that JR also have a version of this servo. Maybe theirs has proper gears in it?
Multiplex also have a new wing servo out called the Slimstar, Check it out, very clever design.
Regards,

John.
