Default jetcat starting gas

Anyone tried using msr isopro fuel such as http://www.msrcorp.com/stoves/fuel_blend.asp to start a jetcat? Nobody carries powermax here in town anymore but they have this stuff.

Justin,

I don't see any reason you couldn't use that stuff. You can start a JetCat on straight propane, its just that propane has too much partial pressure at high temps for the gas line connections in the airplane and you have to adjust the gas mix to keep the temps in range. You might have to adjust the gas mix for this stuff too, but maybe not.

I've used a bunch of different camp stove type canisters, including Powermax, on a variety of turbines and have yet to find one that didn't work. Just make sure to turn it up side down to syphon out liquid if there's no clunk in the can.
