Just got my Velox from Tams inventory sale...Looks great. I have 2 Engine choices. It will either be a P-70 or 80...I am leaning toward the P-70...any input or advice would be great.
Thanks

p-80 has the same weight as a 70

I just got my orange Velox from Chad at Sin City Jets. I have a new P70 going in it. I'm sure it will be enough to push thru the air. I just got all the servo's. It might not see the air till spring though. Winter is setting in here.
Good luck

Now just a minute here...........
Here's the published weights from the JetCat USA website. www.jetcatusa.com
The P-70 engine core weight: 2.2 lbs.
The P-80 engine core weight: 2.7 lbs.
Difference: .5 lbs (The P-70 is 8 ounces or 1/2 pound lighter than the P-80).
Where I went to school, "a half pound saved is a half pound earned."
Hope this helps....

P 120 would be crazy power. I flew one with a AMT mercury making about 20 lbs and it's a missle. Super bee or p 70 or something around that power range would be perfect. We had to put a little more weight in the nose with the merc but we knew that going in.

TITAN! Now that's what I'm talking about!
I've seen the same Velox fly with an 18 pounder and with the P-120.....I would choose the P-120....

Doesn't answer the original question but the AMT (NL) Mercury is the perfect engine for the Velox! Ballistic performance plus!
