Default Glassing the Wing- oz cloth?

Howdi

I have a Yellow F4 and am getting ready to glass the wings soon. What ounce (oz) cloth should i use 2, 3 ?

1/5 or 3/4 oz is what you need on the wings for DF. maybe 1 oz for turbines

I would go .5 ounce on DF. I do my wings in 2 ounce on the jets, but I know I'm overdoing it for any strength that might be gotten, and certainly a stronger finish at a small weight cost.

Generally use 3/4 oz for finish. You will gain no appreicable structural strength with 1 or 2 oz. That being said you will gain appreciable "ding" resistance with the heavier cloth. Scott
