They fly great, absolutley no bad habits and land very well, Mine was my first jet and had no problems flying it. customer service from Tam is first class. mine is in the classifieds to fund another project right now.

Great jet. Great service. It was my first jet too. Keep it light. Reinforce the main LG mount with some 1/4" plywood. Plane is easy to land once you understand that it flies very will with 30 degree of alpha and a lot of gas.

Not a fist jet for me, but i have had many of the smaller version f-16s and a few bigger ones, and it few the best of them all. It has a very good scale shape as well. Tam has gret customer service, and this jet could land bckwards in a strong enough wind. I have owned two of them. Nick

Nick, funny that you mention it. My maiden was on a very windy winter day. Wind was down the runway. It landed and rolled out on less than 50 ft with the wings rock solid!
This is such a fun model.

It's a very nice bird to fly. I'm flying one with a P-60 in and smoke. It has good performance with this setup. No bad habits. If you do a gray paint scheme, I recommend getting the sidewinders and painting them day-glo orange as I did. It helps a lot. I set the flap switch to give a little up elevator mix to help set the pitch attitude and I just drive it down the slot with throttle.

Tailwinds,

John

It's a relief to read your comments. I'm going to maiden mine today.

EDIT:
It was effortless. Like everyone has been saying it takes off, flies and lands very easilly and slowly.

I had the original Tam F-16 (with wooden wings). It flew great but was hard to see with my 65 year old eyeballs. I sold it following 15 flights. I now have Tam's composite F-16 (TB version). It is a bit larger and very easy to see. I have a P-70, with smoke, and it is truly an easy airplane to fly. Highly aerobatic, easy and quick to build and of course no one has better customer service than Tam. It's a very fine and durable airplane for a first jet..........it's also very easy to set up.
