Default Jet legends hornet Courtesy o Camlex

(work in progress)
I just received a jet legend F-18c Wednesday the 17th
I know every body is into the new stuff but It has to be done .

I started this project with a used skymaster (some of you may have seen it for sale )
Yes it was a piece of junk, after redoing every thing in that air frame and flying the piss out of it ,
I have come to love the way it flies , there were several thing that I could not live with any longer.
All were from the previous owner/ owners , the ailerons were not put on strait I had to re-hinge the flaps
and rework all the tanks and it had been scorched, but after some TLC it really flew great (aside from it not being very strait)

So on with the new air frame .
First id like to thank Camlex they gave me a great price and I didn't have to wait long for shipping
And of course TAM JETS (great supplier, were I get all my small stuff )he gives me a hard time and says O hey Clint you need more small parts.

The kit is true AFR so don't get to excited about the finish yes its nice but you guys know what i mean.
The manufacturing of the kit however is really nice carbon in all the right spot nice strong layup but not overdone ,
and of course the elevator mechanism (AWSOME).

(uploading photos is taking a long time check back
Packing was good there was a hole in the box courtesy of DHL
but nothing was heart
And what other kit do you know of that come with a set of plans (but no instruction manuel)
I wanted more fuel the tank mode I did worked out great .
The direct drive nose retract is very nice. I have one on the scorpion they are heavy but hornets need nose weight .
The servos are tower hobbies.
TS 150s on the nose & flaps
TS 170S on the elevators
These servos are great I have used them on other jets so I have proven them to myself (CHECK THEM OUT )
The air line connectors are a secret I have been using them for three years I have different sizes and use them on my fuel line in, the jets and on my fuel cans If you would like some let me know I need to see how many people are interested be for I take any order
they will be packs of ten I don't have a price yet

There will be know gear doors and I used the pipe I bought from tam for the other hornet
I am using a wren 200 and in this kit I have moved the motor as far forward as possible
the old hornet was 31 lbs 5 oz dry
this one should be 29lbs 8oz dry
but with 33lbs of thrust I don't think I am going to be able to tell the difference
check often I am going to take some pic now .

OK just found out that the Futaba fasst & G3 rx's do not like the ts 150 servos ,it locks out for about 2 seconds
Should I buy amplifiers for them or just get new servos
The cs 170 servos are fine .

Of Course! Why would you build a 6-7K Jet and equip it with 40.00 low end servos? That's just silly....
