FRONT TURBINE BLADE NICKS
HI TURBINE PROS!!!!!! I have some nicks on my front turbine blades!!!!! From what I understand (was told) this is standard for balancing the turbine!!???????? I would think that by having any small nicks to leading edge of front turbine blades would compromise the blade??? Therefore, brake at high rpm??? Jet Pros can you shed some light???? Thanks!!!!!!!

RE: FRONT TURBINE BLADE NICKS
Are they nicks or are they grind spots?
I sold a motor to a guy once and he was concerned that the motor was damaged and mentioned the blades were "all nicked up".
It was actually grinds put on at the factory

RE: FRONT TURBINE BLADE NICKS
This is the email I got once from the manufacturer after the buyer of my motor expressed his concerns.

Hi Ronnie:
We get this all the time because we grind several places on the compressor for balance ( about midway down the area between the blades and in the front by the compressor nut. This has no effect on the performance. Actually if we did not do it the bearing would not last more than one run.
