Default Mississippi Afterburner

Hi All,

For those of you planning to attend the 11th annual Mississippi Afterburner Jet Rally, the event information is on the Mississippi Gang website. Go to http://home.jam.rr.com/missgang/afterburner.htm. There is a pre-registration form you can print out and send in at the bottom of the page. I suggest booking motel rooms soon. This is a small town and the rooms fill up early. The Western Inn and Suites and the Magnolia Inn are the best choices.

Please note that the web address has changed. If you have the site bookmarked, please make sure you have the new address.

FYI, we feed the pilots for free all weekend. This includes hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. This years dinner menu for Friday night is a fantastic barbeque, homemade ice cream (three kinds), and cobbler. The menu for Saturday night is fried catfish and a crawfish boil with more home made ice cream and cobbler.

Some arrive as early as Wednesday night. Come early and stay late.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Jason,

You need to make it if you can. It is one of the best, of course I might be a little biased as well.

The link that Dennis posted had an extra period this one should work.

Default Come On!

Hey Jason, You come on over and bring the gang with you. I am going to establish a prize of $100.00 cash that goes to the person who puts in the most flights on Saturday. The person who puts in the second most flights will receive $50.00. Finally, the third place winner will receive $25.00. Now I warn you, this competition includes my sons Paul and William, so you better have your strategy figured out!!! Now, lets see....... Should I contract to have a tank truck full of Jet-A standing by?

dennis,

with both your boys flyin hard that means extra duty for you! why don't you earn your money the honest way with a spot landing or two.

Default Over Worked and Underpaid

Hi Pat,

I have put both the boys on notice that they will have to have one of their buddies do all the pitting for them. I'm not working that hard!! Last year Paul won the money with 24 flights on his Viper on Saturday alone. That was hard work! There is no way I am going to try that with both boys.

Vernon has the concession on spot landings sewn up.

Ok guys, this is a must attend event. Low key event and a great place to fly. It really got low key a couple of years ago when BV was trying spot landings and had a mishap. The only thing heard was Vernon saying "where's my dollar".

Default LeMans

Hey Jason,

Can you say the Carl Lewis of hot fueling? That is Paul. He is the king of hot fuel and fly. You have your work cut out for you. Last year he flew 24 times on Saturday alone with his Ultra Viper. (Boy does that say a lot for the reliability of the BVM system)

Good luck. You will need it!

Dennis,

We have to compare apples to apples. If any member of your family operates a ducted fan aircraft, it should mean instant disqualification. I know you just bought a few cats and we should put them to work.

Instead of flights, how about hours aloft as a new twist on the same game?

Just a thought

Looking forward to the challenge

Default Cats Only

Hey Jason,

There will be no D/F this year. We will have four JetCats flying at this event, and they will be thoroughly exercised!!

Hours aloft sounds great to me. I am going to be sitting under the tent sipping on a lemonade watching you and Paul go for it.

How many drums of Jet-A do I need to get for you?

I vote for hours aloft too..... I think I can strap a 5 gallon jug on to my Phantom and fly it.
