Default JET EXPERTS YOUR OPINION PLEASE...

HI, I HAVE INSTALLED MY NEW EVOJET 90 AND LOOKING AT THE RESULT I DISCOVERED THAT IT IS SLIGHTLY OFF THE CENTER LINE TO THE RIGHT. MY TAILPIPE WAS ALREADY INSTALLED AND LOOKING FROM THE REAR THE ENGINE'S EXCAUST IS DEAD CENTER TO THE PIPE. ALTHOUGH AT THE END I WILL FIX THIS I AM WONDERING IF THIS WOULD BE AN ACTUAL PROBLEM INFLIGHT OR HAS ANYONE BEING FLYING LIKE THIS WITH NO PROBLEM...YOUR OPINION COUNTS.

Nik,

I'm not an expert, but it seems to me that the major risk will be to the pipe itself. You may have a hotspot to one side of the pipe, depending on how bad the thrust angle is off. The only thing you would notice in the air might be slightly reduced thrust, because of increased turbulence within the pipe from the non centered exhaust.

same thought occured to me David regarding the thrust through the pipe although i mentioned that exhaust shows to be centered with pipe i dont wont to think the moment the pipe for some reason say due to heat slightly moves off center. just a thought...pictures now avail

I see that the pipe and engine are alingned but, I also can see that the engine is not centered in the engine mount, there is room to move the set up to the left. Like Topgun27 put it, fix it, get it right the first time.

I agree with the others. If the tailcone is off, it could cause a hot spot and trouble. My motto is, "if it's not right, don't fly."
