Default Skyrunner 300?

Does anyone know anything about this model? Is it available for sale?

I have seen a website address but it no longer works. The name I have seen mentioned is Horst Streicher. Does anyone have contact details for him?

Thanks

I've had a message showing where the Skyrunner 250 is available to buy but this looks to be smaller than the Skyrunner 300.

Has anyone seen them? Is the 250 suitable for a Kolibri? It looks to be almost TwinJet size but not sure if the engine will fit.

I have send an e-mail to Horst today.
let's see what comes out of ths attempt.

By the looks of it, the 300 is going to be a winner for the new JetCat P-20

I will keep you posted..

Kind regards,

Clifford

I sent an email to the only address I have for Horst with no response. Maybe the email address was wrong or you'll have more luck in German. Let's hope so[sm=thumbs_up.gif]

I also received a PM from Modelbau Pollack (which is how I found out about the Skyrunner 250) but they didn't reply to the email I sent them either[&o]

I think you are spot on. I saw it flying at the second Kolibri meeting in april 2009. With the Kolibri it was already FAST, it's a very clean flying model with very nice axial rolls and it flies better and better when the tank gets lighter during the flight. It's surely bigger than the Twinjet/SAPAC/... range of models, but again, this one flies surprisingly fast, predictable and easy for such a small turbine compared to the size of the airplane. The plane shown there was a beauty in moulding as well (the designers/builders have a CNC moulding company and it shows they were also very familiar with R/C composites).
Perhaps the best model for the JetCat P-20 and the new SuperKolibri ; only drawback is the lack of a landing gear and hence the necessary "less attractive" hand launch (which seemed to be very easy, nonetheless).

I have seen the model at JetPower2009 hanging in one of the booths which claimed sole distributorship, if I am not mistaken, can't remember which one (not Martin Lambert's) ; maybe Pollack Modellbau ???

Nicolas.

No, the 250 is way too small

Sweighoffer Modellbau advertise a Skyrunner jet. Says it's suitable for P20. English translation is available.

The second one is not the same model (just the same name).

I tried ages ago to get one of the ones in the first post. I emailed the builder but didn't receive a response although I'm not 100% sure that I had the correct email address. One of the model shops did receive a response and was told that the manufacturer would supply them models once the moulds were finalised (or something to that effect), but that was months ago and I haven't heard anything since.

Unfortunately that means that it is effectively unavailable[&o]

1300 grams.

Would be great with one of your Lambert Kolibris of 3.0 kgrs of thrust, Henke...

Video on YouTube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ckz9quayavI (with the heavier Jetcat P20 SX with 2.4 kgrs of thrust)

Nicolas.
Yeah, improving all the time! Last couple of T25 engines deliverd to customers all were a tad over 2.8kg in resonable outdoor tempratures, also the selected ones puts out more as the avarage raises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkH_ezJU6Hg

Then the AUW with the Kolibri would be 1900grams + fuel. 600cc is enough for 7min flights, so 2380grams take off weight. With a normal T25 still almost 500grams more thrust then weight... good when launching.

I have just received my Skyrunner 300 from Airworld.
What a disappointment. I have never seen anything packed so poorly.
Of course, as a result, the model is crushed during transportation and hence completely useless. The internal structure of the wing is broken.
Am I supposed now to wait for another 4 months again, plus a lot of "whodunnit" e-mails back and forth ???
Such a shame they did spend so little attention to good packing, the model itself looks beautifully moulded and the production quality did exceed my expectations.

Not my best Christmas ever...

Nicolas.

That sucks. I was looking forward to your review of this model.

I bought a composite EDF flying wing from a different manufacturer and similar damage occurred during shipping. I think one of the problems is that the one-piece wing is so big and thin that it is difficult to make a box strong enough, unless it is made much deeper. However adding this extra 'space' in the box significantly adds to the shipping cost. That is no excuse though and Airworld should ensure that your model arrives undamaged[&o]

They need to design better packing.
