Default high speed gear falling off.

I am having a problem with the 2 speed in my thunder quake <go ahead bash it all you want the best $250 I have ever spent.> The high speed gear keeps unscrewing luckily it stops when it hits the gas tank so I havent lost it yet. Is there a fix for this or maybe a little locktite. Am I missing something? I figure that once it gets into second that will screw it back on tight but since I have only run 2 tanks I cannot do that yet.

Ah, well theres your problem, Duratrax parts sortove, well suck, there cheaply made and are not worth the money there are SOME THINGS! That duratrax makes that are good, but gears are not one of them. There gears are one of the downsides so are thereA-Arms, motors, Engines, and tires. I would bring it into the LHS in your are and they will get it straitened out for you!

And I might have a solution to your problem, but first, are you using a bolt to hold on the gear like the ones to hold on your tires?

I dunno man I have had no problems with this truck and would take it any day over my maxx. Every day I want to go out and bash I look at my titan and I look at my TQ and the TQ seems to get driven a lot more. I don't know about you but I use CA glue to hold my tires on, and 19mm hex nuts to hold the rims on. Just out of curiosity do you even know what a 2 speed is?

yah, like I said SOME things suck, but gears are one of the things that do, there cheaply made!
And a 2 speed transmittion is the transmittion in your car and it has to gears so that you can havr faser speeds.

Ok that hex nut you have, turn it areound and screw it in the Backwards. that will slove your problem!

Hey man, I'm not very familiar with the 2 speed on the TQ. On the clutch, are there 2 gears? Try putting a different C clip on the end of the shaft. Locktiting should work. Are you letting it cure overnight?

there is definitly no hex nut or c clip on it it is just a gear that threads onto the clutchbell. It is fixed now that i have broken the truck in and can use second. Any time you wanna race itty-bitty rusty against my crappy duratrax monster truck just let me know. Actually lets make it fair i'll use my pos stampede.

Hey man Stampedes aren't piles!!! I loved mine. Couldn't break it if I tried. Electric that is. As long as you get the stock 2018 steering servo and stock servo saver replaced it is a great way to get into the hobby! Look at my avitar!

Yeah those are pretty annoying. The reason they break so easy is because the pin that goes through the C Hub and Bearing Carrier is so soft that it allows bending. Plastic is only so strong when its bent. Drill out the C hub to 4mm and put some Associated hinge pins in place of the stock pin.
