Yeh that happened to me too.. ya'll know if it is that cause ya can hold the flywheel an the engine will still turn wen ya pull the pullstart,
to tighten it, take the clutch bell off an remove the clutch shoes.. an its the bolt that ya can see that needs to be tightened,,, butttttttt if it is loose take it off an put some locktight on it b4 ya tighten it up an put it back gether...
Not a hard job matey.
P.S. have ya checked ya glow plug to see if its glowin?? [:-]

Reet.... ya can either try holding the flywheel with a big pair of grips orrrr what i had t do was take the carb off and stick a srewdriver inside to hold the shaft insde.. watch ya dont get any crap into the engine tho and watch out for the little gold needle thing ya can see in the hole. ![Wink](https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
i've done it this way 3 times now.. the last time i did it tho i rounded off the hed on the screw.. so i put grips on to undo it that way an it snapped the screw... s i ended up havin to dril it out of the shaft as i couldn't find a new pilot shaft anywhere.. lol![Big Grin](https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
anyways.. gud luk lol

Hi Guys, I finally got my new chassis, front tower, rear tower and steeringservo-brace in last week!
I still need to drill some holes for the gas-tank, throttle/brake servo and receiverbox:

A stone got jammed between the clutch bell and flywheel witch stripped out the pins and lossended the flywheel. And my slipper pads were nackered so sooted all tht out.
Sprayed my wheels the other day they look pritty cool in black. Whats the easiest way to mask em without takin tyres off? cos its a pain in the ass when u use maskin tape or celotape.

Nice one, glad ya all sorted out now...
i tried cuttin paper & card out an placing it over the tyre.. but i found the best job; apart from removing the tyre, was to mask the whole wheel off, then cut out around the rim with a sharp blade from a stanley knife...
ya might be better off using a wide tape.. its a ball ache when ya just using 1 inch maskin tape lol..

Oh no i think ive blown the engine on me rush! i was runnin it for about 5 mins then engine cut out, dno wether it was fuel or it had just cut out. So i put the glow plug heater on and pulled the pull start a few times then i heard a loud pop and when i pull the cord there doesent seem to be much compression!
what do you think?
what should i do if it is? it has only had just over a litre of fuel through it.

hi agen,
i tighted up the glow plug and there is plenty of compression again, but when i pull the starter it feels hard,
as if the flywheel was loose or the engine was floded but there not? Help!![Frown](https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Why is my pull start stiff?
Question
Why is my pull start stiff?
Answer
Usually the cause of the problem is caused by over primming (too much fuel). This causes the engine chamber to fill with fuel and prevent the piston from moving up and down.
To correct this problem follow these steps:
Remove glow plug
Turn engine upside down
Pull the Pull Start, excess fuel will start coming out the plug hole
Continue step three until more fuel comes out
Replace Glow Plug
Start engine as normal
Note: Be careful not to spray fuel into yours eyes!
If this fails to fix the problem then you should the engine back to your hobby store for inspection..

Hey, im new to buying nitro rc's. I just got a used nitro rush with a dtx .18 engine. The problem im having is that when i get it started the engine revs really high with little speed and then when i apply the brake the engine stalls. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or solutions to this.
