That engine is a very good engine and is made by SH. As far as speed there are so many variables and there is no way to say how fast but it should be faster and much better then the stock T-15!

i agree with 46u ive just run it easy to be safe after run in and its a lot faster than the t15 it even poped little wheelies in my local church carpark they werant on demand witch was unfortunate when the local chavs started bothering me but its probaly good for at least 45 maybe up to 55mph but dont take me up on that im a 15year old with no degree in physics

I am an HPI man and own 4 or their vehicles but am not fond of most of their engines. I do like my K4.6 in my Savage and have a .15SS and they both have been very good. But the T-15 and 18SS I would not buy. SH engines are much better then HPI engines for the most part. I have 6 plus gallons through my K4.6 but big blocks seem to last longer then small blocks.

dont got the the .18 SS trust me i have it dont get me wrong mine HALLS but i had to do ALOT of moddeing to the engine........ out of the box specs SUCKS i did alot of porting to mine and im very very happy with it right now but when it finally craps out on me i will not be buying a rebuilt kit for it
the .18SS engine was in my rush but i took it out after a crash i had and havent put it back in at the moment i have it in a RS4 2 and let me tell u with the 2 speed gearing i put it in holy crap it FLEW my only issue i kept haveing was at high speed the dam thing keep blowing over!!!! ima put the .18SS back in the rush maybe at the begging of next month since i will be buying the OS .18TZ for the RS4 2 and a starter box

Anything is better then the stock composite! For a pipe to work properly it needs to be made of metal and ideal is steal. But there is only one company that makes the out of steal. But aluminum is better then composite or CF. Here is part of an article. All my pipes are aluminum and hope one day to try a steel one.
Why are Fantom tuned pipes made out of steel?. First, steel resonates better than aluminum, which makes the pressure pulses in the pipe stronger, providing for a better “supercharging†effect of the gases being forced back into the combustion chamber. Next, steel holds the heat in a pipe, better than aluminum does. A hotter pipe is more effective in the scavenging process that an engine goes through, or in simple terms, a hotter pipe helps an engine burn fuel more efficiently, ultimately providing you with more horsepower and better fuel mileage. Finally, a steel pipe flat out sounds better than an aluminum pipe. They are more “throaty†and raspier, not to mention their unique factory look and durability sets them apart from all other pipes. If you are concerned about the weight, Fantom pipes only way fractions more than their aluminum counterparts, and in off-road testing there has been no disadvantage from using a steel pipe versus an aluminum one.

Hello, I just bought the hop up diff axle part number 72213 for my rush and it is to big to fit in the diff???? Any suggestions? I already snapped my stock one so I got it for that reason. Everywhere in HPI website says it is for the rush evo and so does that manual.

I have 19 RC cars and trucks right now as I sold some. I have a Savage and HPI MT I race as well as a new Hyper 8 buggy. The reason I am thinking of selling the Rush is I do not run the Rush much and want to put more in to my Hyper 8. I do not race the Rush, as the Rush is not a very good racer.
