RE: Why buy a Futaba 10C when you have a 9C?
PilotPete,
Judging from the feedback, and the few PMs which I received, it would seem you are indeed right when you say it doesn't work.
Or leastways, it doesn't work for you chaps over there.
But, here in Blighty, it's a different tale, because my TM-7 is now a TM-8... simply because of that aforementioned switch.
Maybe I just got lucky. Maybe I bought one that had somehow slipped through the net. Or maybe Futaba released a different version for us Limeys. But whatever the reason, I can confirm that I have the full eight channels from a TM-7 module.
Anyway, please accept my apologies for inadvertantly leading anyone up the garden path. Just because it worked for me I honestly thought it would work for everyone.
Mr. Fishingships:
Getting back to your initial query, from where I'm sitting it sounds like you've already made up your mind to go the 10C route. In which case, (because judging from the superb build quality of the 9C), I reckon it's safe to say that you've made a good choice. In other words, although Futaba are notoriously stingy when it comes to sharing information, there is absolutely no doubt that they know their stuff when it comes to designing R/C equipment.
You can rest assured that you *will* be chuffed to bits with your choice of radio from the moment you take it out the box.
Good luck to you, squire.
And most of all (to coin one of your Americanisms)........ Enjoy!
<Edit>
Why do I always notice the typo AFTER I've hit the send button??
