I would like it....

I am going to hold my chassis together with CA glue.... thick CA glue, since it's plexi glass, any ideas would be greatly appreciated

yeah I am.. the CA Glue is just to hold the chassis together and I am going to to make cross bars, my chassis is going to be like 4" or so wide... I got the Plexiglass at Home Depot for $1.39 for a sheet that is 18"x22", I may get some more and start a buisness making the chassis out of plaxiglass and selling them on here to earn a little $$$... LMK what you think

Bush, I was on all day yesterday....

Here are some pics of what I've done so far... This morning I attached the bottom cants in the front... I still need...

2 maxx difs
maxx/svage shocks
ESC
4 CV's
out drives
attach rear cants
make top cants
set up my cants
install servo

Let me know if you all have any of these parts you are willing to sell or trade me....

Question on the servo... should I run it from ONE hole on the servo saver over to a hub carrier then run a rod accross? or just run two DIFFERENT rods from 2 holes on the servo saver?

Here are the pics... I'll post some more when I finish the next step or two.... LMK what you think... and YES that is a plexiglass chassis

I'm going to another hobby shop to see what they have today.... Here's my list

2 ESC's (Mtroniks Eco 20 or $40 and under)
Reciever (Futaba RX)
Deans Plugs
2 Maxx center Differentials
spools for the diffs
Body, Escalade [8D]
Internal body decals, the new proline ones
Motor (Epic Binary 2 Pro stock Rebuildable) [>:]
Shocks
CV's

Trx .15 Pullstarter
One way bearing
Clutch Assembly

RX (for my little bro) [&:]
Motor (Trinity Monster Stock HP motor) (little bro's buggy) [8D]

Plexiglass
3/16" aluminum Tubing

Rustler Tranny
Aluminum Idler gear
CV's
Screws
Nuts
Bolts

As you can see I have a BIG list.... only problem is, I only have $125 and the shocks, esc's, and motors are gonna kill all that... gotta get more $$ fast!!!

I cheated and got a Gecko Chassis. It was worth it to me because I had no access to the tools I needed to build a custom chassis. I don't know how to post picks. Here are my ebay pics. It's for sale.

Your links don't work... I like to build things with my hands and spend time on them, not money.... Here's what I got yesterday....

2 diffs, 1 w/ a spool
Mtroniks Eco 20 ESC
Deans PLugs
Epic Binary Pro Stock Rebuildable Motor
Pull Start for TRX .15 Pro
One way bearing
Trinity Revenge of the Monster Pro Stock Motor (little bro's)
Blazer Sport Radio Gear (for my little bro)
Ofna Anodized Blue aluminum antenna tube mount and antenna
Clutch assembly for TRX .15

Here's some pics of the crawler... I think I posted them already, but it's so you don't have to look for them in the thread... I'll post a link later to another thread with all my other car pics in it... There are 3 of them.... out of the 7.... I think.... not to sure

I'm not sure why the link won't work. It's item #5910698987. just put the # in the search field.
How do I post pics here by the way?
I like to spend time building and creating things as well. I like time in the shop rather than $shopping$. But I was stuck in a tiny barracks room in S. Korea with a roomate, almost no tools, and I wanted a crawler.

this might help:

its easy to mount a servo at the upper inner wishbone mounts
and you can lock the independent suspension with something between the lower shock mounts and the upper wishbone ones. i used flexible nylon so i don't break anything.

I also recommend cutting your tires. I did mine by removing every second tread and gluing it to the sidewall. this improves traction in sand, and gravel and it helps the tires mold to the rocks.

I mounted my double triangulated links on top of the shock tower and under the wishbones. I'm not sure were to stick my savage shocks yet.

if you do 4 link it, good luck.

there should be a pic here. if you see this pic, cut of every second bit of chevron tread marked red, and stick it on the side of the tire (also marked red in other pic).
for these tires i did the side bits out of rubber from some old mad bull tires.
hope this is clearer.

the way i cut the tires makes them a lot like a puller tire.

if you were wondering how you do the actual cutting, there are a couple of ways. some people
use side cutters to take off most of the rubber and finish off with a sanding drum on the dremel.
I dont have any sharp cutters, so i use a craft knife then the dremel. rubber blunts the knife real fast so i use about 2 blades per tire.

another way to do it is dividing the tread into thirds and removing the centre bit or both the outer bits. it is better suited to wider tires. i got this pattern off the mudcow site. here it is on a mad bull tire.
