Default Shaun's 2.2 Comp Rig

Here is an overview of my 2.2 Comp Rig build

Drilling the skid

RC4WD R2D trans test fit

Starting the servo / battery mount, doing BTA steering on it.

Quick mock up, allthread is so I can esilly tune it while building, final links will be made from solid 1/4 inch aluminum rod.

Getting closer on the steering, tierod is for mock up, final tie-rod will be fabbed from 1/8th inch aluminum.

Got the link Geometry figured out.

R2D mounted to skid, with Axiom 55T motor.

Figuring out the shock location.

Made some chassis braces.

Dig servo mount.

Servo mount

Rear links finished

Pretty much finished, minus dig servo.

Looks real good Shaun! Let us know how you make out this weekend!
Hey what brand/make is your frame? I have one with the same cutout pattern only it is smaller. I am using it on a Cliff Climber, something I acquired in a trade. Looks like the Tibet sun symbol.

It sure has, I can't believe I started out running a stock(other than the 12.5" stretch).

Here's a rundown of the weekend

Day 1, Finished the day with a 88, would have done alot better, but I had two repairs, the first one, I broke the servo mount after a 4 foot drop, and the second repair, I ripped all 4 of the lower link mount screws out of the lower link mounts on the chassis, decided to cut a long peice of all thread and put two lock nuts on either end. Worked great and is still working great, I'll be running it, till I order some Stainless hex button head 3mm screws, that are long enough to go all the way though. Overall I finished 9th for the day out of 15 trucks.

Day 2, Finished the day with a 79, The only problems I had was I popped the yoke off my front drive shaft and instead of just taking a repair, I tried to continue to climb, and took out 3 gates on my way down, and then took a repair. finish 6th, out of 15.

Normally I take upwards of 200 pictures at comps, but my cam died this weekend, so I don't have any.

I'm pretty sure that chassis is made by KAMAKAZE KUSTOMS. They make a couple different variations of it for different applications.

Sorry, I missed that question. The chassis is a Kamikaze Kustoms Zero D chassis, Jeff makes a couple different chassis, and some awesome parts! His site is www.kamikazekustoms.com

My cam died, but a guy got a picture of my truck for me.
