RE: Tigertiki's 1/6 Kettenkrad's build and RC transformation
Yaaay it worked. It happened to get 2 (two) kettenkrads , the second one DID mainly for the fact that it has Metal rollers and tracks. Compared to each another the Dragon i s a little more detailed i assume if someone looks for metal tracks than the Dragon built model , which i don't have is a better deal. The first one is a static kit the second one is a ready built static model. Here are some pictures:

RE: Tigertiki's 1/6 Kettenkrad's build and RC transformation
It's working so i will post the pictures where i got so far. I started to build the Dragon variant, but only with duck tape and rubber band considering the RC build later on:
This is the plan:
Later it changed to use the HL gears and RX 18 because it suits these models.
Some build pictures:
After i finished i was able to fit in a plastic "gearbox" from HL and transformed the gear wheels to match the axels and to be rigid on them with some epoxy. It happened to have one EL-MOD laying around with sound module so i tried first. The final will be with RX-18 so the KT sound might not be forever.
The fitting of the gears needs the removal of one motor and reinstall after which needs two holes on the wall for the screwdriver to get in.. and also a little bending of the sheet metal but later it fits perfectly also with the "driver" in place
Of course i always use LIPO's
And ta da: Here is the result

(For this trial i used a futaba 9 channel RX-tx and the EL-MOD module )
Next episode will be about the making of the suspension system with torsion plates and aluminum sheet..

I would need help on controlling nicely the steering wheels though the ketten stares from the motors (as in real life) the whell can stare only 5 degrees. if you want more some clutch is controlled . I plan to use the RX18-s turret control..
