Fenders
OK, I have had it with the plastic rear mud flap fenders on my Tiger 1. I have just finished installing some brass mud flap fenders that I made for it. I will take pictures as soon as I find the camera. At least these will not break off as easily as the Tamyia ones have. Pictures soon I hope.

They look heavy duty Herman. You always do very nice work. I'm anxious to see how well the do during the Extravaganza, Most of us break them off backing-up into the boulders and buildings during hastey retreats or dodging in-coming rounds. I'm sure your Tiger 1 will be the only one at the end of the day with two mud-flaps.[8D]

Beautifully done sir! Mine are long gone. My poor Tiger is naked in the rear...

RE: Fenders
We will have to see how well they hold up at Danville at the end of the month. If the demand is there, I could make more of them for deserving Tigers that are running around "nekkid" in the rear!

RE: Fenders
I think you should make another pair and take some pics while constructing them. You could always use the second pair as a gift to another tanker or trading material. Anyway good job. I would really like to see how you made them as both my Tiger I and KT need new ones.
Thanks for sharing.

RE: Fenders
Here are some construction pictures of how I made the fenders. I will have this set available at Danville at the end of the month if anyone is interested. The small brads are what I used to attach them to the hull. I marked the holes in the mounting plate on the hull, drilled them out, then soldered the brads to the plate. I used epoxy to glue them through the holes in the hull and on the back side of the plate.

G Amp,
Great build pics, They look easy enough to make, I'll just have to try them myself. Thanks for sharing. Wish I could make it to danville with you guys.
