Default Bear tracks / Panther tracks in Tankland

Avoiding a nasty encounter with a bear is easy ...... always go tanking with a friend who can't run as fast as you can.

I was creek fishing one day, and on my walk back I was concerned to see my previously left footprints in the sand bars now had bear tracks along with them too!!!! I was being stalked. I got the heck out there as fast as I could. The joys of living in the back country. I guess a slow witted human with a couple of rainbow on his belt were just too enticing for my furry four legged friend. Scary thing is I never did see him or hear him.

Be careful. I probably don't need to tell you they are more likely to cause you some grief now. Mad and hungry this time of year.

Yeah, the bears don't worry me much... the mtn. lions are the scarry ones.

I have been stalked by big cats more than once but the bears usualy go away as fast as they can.

I just wish I had my Tiger I tank along yesterday. Then this thread would be titled, " Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my"

Cougars, (Real ones) are getting to be more of an issue then in the past around here too. You are right, They are the things you want to watchout for. Damn things are big. You see them in pictures and your mind sees large house cats. See them for real, and you realize the scale is all off and they are bigger then you!.
