Default Need some assembly and decal help with Heng Long Jagdpanther

So my son made it through 10 days of perfect behavior at school so he earned his Heng Long Jagdpanther. Man it's been a long wait until I can play with this thing!

I need some help though.

I don't know how to attach the jack bracket to the jack and the pair to the back of the tank. Can someone give some close-up photos?

Also, there are numerous decals that are not shown where they go.

Here's the tank:

Here are the jack pieces and decals:

Any help would be appreciated.

I love this tank! It's huge. I might have to get another one for me!

That's funny... HL is pretty good about supplying a thorough instruction manual.

If the stickers are not shown in that manual I would search online (google or yahoo) for photographs of others placement of them.

OK, can anyone share a picture of their Jagdpanther with the jack installed?

Stand by Steve. Give me a couple hours and I'll take some photos. But be advised the stickers that come with the tank are garbage. The Germans used a 3 digit system for numbering tanks, it's Heng Long that went to 4. If you need them and can wait I probably have something suitable in the spare decals box.

Gotta agree with Gary on this. Stickers (even on a kids tank) are junk and they will come off.

Rub on transfers or a stencil... then the time consuming water slide decal is so much better.

But it's your tank.

I already put on the HL model number and the German crosses. They are fine on my other 2 HL tanks. They're good enough for toys for me.

I was just wondering where the other little shapes go.

Here's the page from the manual, if you're not going for accuracy you just place them (the little extra stickers) wherever you want. Maybe on a fender or storage box. I like the little red bears, myself, and I've got them on a few of my tanks, even though it's not accurate. Sometimes it's fun to make the rivetcounters cringe.

OK, I'll just put the little ones wherever. Thanks!

I just took another look at the page and I like what it says at the bottom, "other pasters decorates at will for the user". Maybe I'm strange, but I think that's kinda cool.

I think my HL Jagdpanther came with the wrong jack.

Mine does not have a tab that will fit in the slot on the back of the tank. And here you can see how the bracket doesn't fit over it without spreading it apart:

You're right, yours is missing the tab. How about if I send you this one? No charge, you can make it up to me later (here's where you should picture me slightly hunched over and dry washing my hands as I give a Dr. Evil laugh and contemplate all the evil favors I will extract from you at some future date).

That's OK, you keep it for an accessory. I think it's for a PzIII or IV and I have several of those. I'm not sure I still have your address, can you PM it to me?

You can carefully scalpel off the last number on the four digit decal to make it something like correct.

Cheers

I think it's kind of funny that the number is the Heng Long model number.

Yes, it looks like the jack I was sent is a Panzer III jack. I have a Pazer III also and it matches.

Crius is going to save us again and send us a spare.
