Default Hooben releases Fury RTR in 1:16

So they already have a 1:10 Fury rtr available for nearly 1500 bucks, they have now posted a few videos of what is labeled a 1/16 version. In comparison to a tv remote it drives over it looks like a real 1/16 not a pre production ad using the 1/10 model.
The EZ8 looks good and comes with most of the Fury specific details. In the video the tank lacks gun recoil while fireing yet does a mild track recoil. Fairly impressive for hooben so far. Tamiya has lost this battle finally.

I could find nothing on the hooben website, just their facebook page with the videos and no price point yet.
i might have to get one to play with if its not a ridiculas price. Im still recovering from the m60 heart attack.

Ya know, it always goes like this, even when building static models. I convert or scratch something, and then it gets released by a manufacturer.

Wink

Well now, wouldn't that be great if it does happen? I mean most of us that's been around awhile knows what happened about 8 years ago when HOOBEN announced the E-100 and their MAUS in 1/16. (they never showed up)

So that now we have an image of the box and a video is convincing enough for most but it is HOOBEN, so we won't hold our breath.

Jeff you are so right. Thats why on seeing the first video i suspected it was merely their 1/10 tank gining up 1/16 interest. Im curios on their msrp.

Default Hooben Tank Day M4A4E8

Saw them close up & in person this past Sunday at their Tank Day event. Not a bad effort for their run against HL but I'd get rid of that FURY decal & at least silkscreen that barrel. Didn't ask what the licensing fee must have cost. They're still developing their own board so initially will offer with Clark TK22. I'm getting one to run alongside my son's Mato M4A3 plus the late Tiger that he's yet to release. He's already shipped 50 to EU on pre-release but expects to start shipping later this month. Look for another model to follow these.

Forgot to mention, as you'd expect, metal upgrade parts, i.e., tracks, sprockets, wheels, etc.. will follow.

Yes, RTR as shown as on carton. FPV would be optional.

Might be a good option to use as parts with a Tamiya kit. I am happy with mine as is but it was a pain to convert.

Not sure for you guys across the pond but I paid 1320RMB or $206.20 based on current exchange with TK22 & MC6. They are to have their own board available next month so sure base price will be lower.

At 206 how can it get lower. That kinda makes me fear what quality it is. Obviously it wont be tamiya quality. Probably inline with henglong, but very much needed in our hobby.

Looks like the bogies pivot like Heng Longs instead of the individual wheels moving up down. So looks like they'll be the first thing to change for Tam ones.

I agree but like the HL pivoting suspension, at least they are having an HVSS out there... if we do see it marketed.

Isn’t everybody over Fury now anyway? Few years late releasing it.

Be interesting to see one but the turret and gun look a bit off...

So looking like two different versions will be available for 300 or 420 USD.
Still seems a decent price. though rocking suspension will be costly to fix. Have to cannibalize a Tamiya just for those parts or spend a ton on parts bags.
Cost wise quality will come into play, but Im wondering if your still not better off for the money to buy a Tamiya and put a taigen upper on it like I did to make an ez8. Though that later T23 turret is badly needed.

HL suspesnsion works properly in that it's sprung and the two sides can move independently. This is more like the mato with the fixed bogies.

Yeah, that too.

I believe only the perfectionists will not like it but we are just a minority of those buying RTR's. If they are ran on a flat surface it will not matter to most.

I'm sorry but I got to poop on that "FPV" system but almost anything wifi based is going to be horrible I've found in my many years of FPV. Take that from someone who regularly spends a MINIMUM of 5 hours a week (most of the time closer to 10) under his Fatshark goggles and also works as a drone consultant outside of IMEX/Taigen. In fact I was actually FPV'ing my tank at lunch. Trust me, wifi FPV sucks so bad it will turn away most users. Let's hope they use a real 5.8GHz system instead of wifi. Didn't mean to poo on this post, just don't get excited for a laggy FPV system

However I would like to see the new board they are making and eventually a new tank. No one has mentioned it anywhere so hopefully we can get some specs on it soon?
