If you are on facebook your every word, everywhere is being tracked. You have unknowingly given them permission to dig down deep into you computer, phone, cloud storage, anywhere you have pictures so they can analyze your face for their face recognition software. Yes I am paranoid, but it doesn't mean I am wrong.

Heck you did that just by coming unto to the internet at all. Any idea of privacy today is a fantasy unless you live in the wilderness
off the land. If you have medical coverage, pay taxes, have autos, have ever had a job, own firearms, have credit cards in other words just live - your data
and data about you has likely been sent, copied and examined by something somewhere many, many times over by now.

By all means don't go to Facebook.

Sometime when you have a spare moment, if you are using a PC with a MS OS try this: in a dos box ( cmd prompt) as administrator run the command netstat -b.

When you see the list ask yourself "do I know what all those connections are for and what are they doing??"

I found their non-Facebook site. I'm assuming they post the same info here. A lot of folks use FB for stuff like this as it's quick versus having
to either update your website or pay someone to maintain it...
