That appears to be an M4. The driver hoods have the rounded front behind the slapping appliqué armor. The Ford A3 had a squared off blunt front to the driver hoods.
indeed a nice photo.

Some work has been done, the rear hull is complete, but while installing the on/off switch the left rear exhaust got bent. Well, that will just be battle damage! It is a tight fit for the electronics, the ETO gearboxes take a lot of room but are with it for the performance.

everything installed

the extra velcro is to help protect the battery from the nuts holding on the bogies, I don't need them wearing a hole in my LiPo batteries

On/Off switch mounted in the rear, it bugs me about the exhaust tilting, but its too late to fix as it is screwed from the back and also glued.

Here are some pics with the tank completed, except for the final paint and markings. The electronics are all working 100%! I think it looks so much better now with the first coat of paint on it.

That is one very well done early M4A3, nicely done indeed! Great work on the added armor and especially the welds for same. Top class work, my friend, truly top class!

Ace's all around, especially the wiring! No spaghetti sauce needed here. (and in time for the 11th)

Looks great! Only minor nitpick is a gap on the transmission cover (it was one piece with the bolt strip).

Looking great. One thing I have to tell you, remove the weird cap on top of the hull mounted antenna sponson next to the Bow gunner hatch. That should not be there and should be recessed a bit. See pics on Sherman minutia site.
the master that Nick used has that stupid cap on it, I suspect the original master maker thought it was a hull ventilator not an antenna mount.

"BarFly" is finally finished! I am really happy how this tank turned out, even though it might not be 100% accurate, having to deal with the resin hull and scratch building some items, it came pretty good and looks like a Sherman!

Some stars are painted and some are decals

Most of the unit markings are painted

excellent build. Love older small hatch Sherman’s.
You can still cut it off and grind it out with a dremmel and touch up the paint since it’s fresh. Your call. It just looks so odd there.

im going to go back and do it to my Alco M4 build, the first time I used nicks hull and I didn’t realize that till much later.

I havent mounted the hull MG yet because I need to buy a piece of filament for the flashing light effect. Hopefully that will be done on my next trip to the LHS!
