what year, what unit are you going to depict?

Base coat was RAL 7028(dark yellow), with RAL 6003 (green) and RAL 8017 (brown) applied in camoflage.

The "ambush" pattern used little shapes like circles to break up the outline of the tank. Some say it mimicks shimmering light through trees. I did mine kind of like the real one, just let more of the dark yellow stand out and used less green. The green bordered the brown, it didn't touch the yellow. There's really no right or wrong way or shades of color especially if you're not looking for historical accuracy.

pick up Squadron/Signal "Panther in Action" and "Panzer Colors" (3 books). A wealth of very good color illustrations and the Pz Colors books cover all German armored vehicles and includes all unit ID and marking schemes.

James, your color schemes look really good. Is that a Tam Panther you have? I want a Panther, but HL model is not proportionally right. my Century 21 ausf G is really nice, but it's a static tank.

Those aren't my tanks fellas! Most of those pics I pulled off the German forums, except for the real one they're all highly modified Heng Longs. These are two not so great shots of my oldest daughter's Panther. I modified the wheels to look more panther like originally and recently replaced the whole running gear with Matos stuff, from the side it looks great! Head on your first thought might be an M10 tank destroyer! Those 3/16" spacers on all axles would move the running gear out flush with the upper hull.

For my next tank, I'd like something FAST!!! An M18 HELLCAT would be nice! Been thinking of dropping my Graupner Speed400s in my Walker Bulldog and adding a cooling fan and heat sink to the board. It's almost time to lengthen his barrel too! Anyone ever come out with larger springs for the Walker like they did for the PZIII?
