Why are Truggys Called So?
One day while I was at the LHS, I was approached by a person who would like to know why truggys are called so and not a buck, "After all, a buck sounds more manly because a buck is a male deer." (Yes, this was a female) Any ideas on the origin of the name "Truggy?"

buck is retared ok. Ok a truggy is called a truggy becuase it is halg of a buggy this is were truggy get uggy from and the other half is a truck which puts the tr in truggy. Undersatnd now?

no no no... you should tell her that it wouldn't be "buck" if you're using half truck half buggy, it should be called "bucky" that sounds better. but not nearly as good as truggy. i don't think people would feel right saying that they drive a bucky. or even a buck for that matter. but truggy... it just sounds right.

woo hoo.. im racing a buck.. that sounds really stupid... just call it a truggy since that is what it is... TRUCK BUGGY = Tr from truck and uggy from buggy...

Some guy with Revo got his a*s handed to him by a Super truck, and was frustrated and complained he didn't get beat by a truck but by a "truggy" which isn't even a fricken word (morons). From now on we shall call our truggy's, (not even a word) "Super Trucks".
P.S. Keep giving the Revo owners an as* kicking lame as***.
P.S.S. And be sure to remind them there is no such word or such thing as a truggy, and no it wasn't a truggy that beat him but a super truck, and if they don't understand you, don't sweat it. Why would you even by a monster truck for racing, can you say oxymoron?

Super Trucks? Where's that come from?
Most major RC racing organizations have been referring to the "truggy" class as UMT (Unlimited Monster Truck). However, for '06, some are going to refer to them as 1/8 Scale Stadium Truck or Arena Truck.

The term was first coined with the terribles desert offroad racing team, but The name is pretty much being dropped in rc for 1/8th arena/gas truck.

they should be called stadium trucks, like xtm uses..
companies like associated and losi have been sharing truck and buggy chassi's for years and years with no reference to truggy style connotations.
you are right, its slam that true monster truck owners use to justify losing a race to a better truck.. the moral is.. dont take your monster truck racing, its not a race truck!
