Default TRX 3.3

I was given a used trx 3.3 engine from a friend of mine that knew i was into rc's. It has a broken con. rod. I'm buying a new one soon. I'm just wondering about the crank bearings and what shape they should be in to be alright. There's a tiny bit of play in the larger one that's toward the middle of the case. What shape should a reusable piston be in?

The bearings should be ok usually.
You probably should just look at the traxxas trade in engine for a new one program though, you get a whole new engine for so little cost.
And yea there is a traxxas section !
