Hi Vic
From what I here I think everybody has gone spitfire mad, good, The only problem I have with my 1/3 spit is moving it around the workshop, hope you get to build that big spit.

Hi every one nice to read some many nice things about my model.
here is some extra information about the model.
the weight of the model is 36Kg. the engine is home made using two zg62 engines with a new crank case. I used full size drawing were possiable and any area that i did not have drawings I measured the full size as well as pictures. I found out on this project just how bad 3 view drawings are. The model has now finished flying this season with 70 flight on it and I hope to finish off the rest of the detail this winter as well as get back to the other projects which are 1/4 mosquito, 1/3 hurricane, 1/3 lysander and long term project a 1/3 gloster gladiator. The mosquito and hurricane will fly next year if every thing go's to plan.

Richard,
Well here is a picture of my spit finally I still have alot to do to the fuse but its getting there.
I hand painted the markings so that took a while apart from the usual encounters every thing is on track. The pictures do not do it justice. I dont think it looks to bad for being completly scratch built.
Regards
Todd

Yeh! I have but am having probs getting the pics on here, I'll keep trying. It flew exactly as Richard said............ like a ***** cat and on landing flaps were not used this time, she landed very slow and we were all very surprised at this as we thought it would tip stall. The c of g was spot on with a gentle climb out on take off triming was not required and a bank to the left into a cicuit pattern proved the controls were very responsive on finals she turned in and the rest is history, just a few minor engine tunes and the usual checks and it will be flying at scale meetings that have been organised throughout the year.
Happy Landings

G'Day Morro,
It sounds as if your images are too large for the forums. There's a max limit of 3000k.
There are several things you can do.
1. Download an eval version of Paint Shop Pro and resize the pics.
2. Use one of the graphic optimization sites on the net (search google)
3. Upload the images to your Bigpond personal web space (You should have 10 meg) and then post the address.
4. PM me and I'll do whatever's necessary to help you out.
Videos can be compressed to a very small size in deed using the free Windows Media program from Microsoft. There's a bit of a learning curve with this one but it's very effective.
