Default 120 SP muffler pressure

Is it normal for the engine to quit instantly if it loses muffler pressure to the fuel tank? My pressure line popped off the muffler and it was like a switch was thrown. The engine went off instantly. I have had this happen before on 2 strokers and sometimes the engine goes lean, sometimes not. I've never had one quit like this.

Dear Randy

Sorry for the delay in replying to this, but I have been on vacation and haven't been able to access this forum. I will get one of our engineers to respond to you as soon as possible.

Best regards

Laurenne

Dear Randy

I thought one of our engineers had already responded, sorry.

Anyway, what you experienced is normal due to the pressure loss. Providing the tank is in a reasonable position you shouldn't have to use muffler pressure, so you could always decided not to use muffler pressure at all. If you do use it though, this could certainly occur again if the pressure line pops off. This may also have occurred so instantly if the engine was being run slightly lean.

I hope this helps, if you have any more queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards
Laurenne
