I will hopefully get into scratch building soon and was wondering if companies like Ziroli, Yellow Aircraft, and Vailly include manuals that have the steps you need to complete in order to finish the model. I am building the TF P-39; will the manuals be similar to that (given that there are manuals).

In my experience, No, there are no manuals. I have 2 sets of warbird plans: a Ziroli P-47 and a Vailly FW-190. The Ziroli plans came with a 1 page, double sided, single-spaced sheet that outlines (somewhat chronogically) the building process at a very high level. The Vailly plans didn't include anything.

I guess the general assumption is that the builder of these type of planes from plans like these are experienced enough in the different variations and facets of building that they can interpret the blueprints and build straight from the plan. Personally, I would at least like to see pictures of the different steps in the suggested order!

So you are supposed to know when every little bit and piece goes on. Sounds a bit stressful for me at the building skill I'm at now.
