Default Dave Platt - Bucker Jungmeister

I am scratch building a Jungmeister from Dave Platt plans. This is the 66" wingspan model with a .90 shown on the plans. I was wondering if anyone else has had any good or bad experiences with building the same? What engine did you choose to use? Was there any flying "quirks" to watch out for? Any comments would be appreciated.

.90 should be OK if you can do it, throw a 1.2 on it. That's a lot of suface area.

I am planning on going gas with a 40cc. It will spin a scale size prop and will provide good power. It should have good vertical. I am not looking for "climb out of sight" capability, just able to perform nice large manuvers with ease.
Have you built this plane or one similar?

It is a great flying plane and easy to fly. If it is light a .90-1.20 2 stroke or eq 4 stroke is fine. It is a scale plane not a 3 D design so dont hammer it.
