Howdy Guys,

I'm building an 84" Penn Valley Quaker and I'm planning to put it on 19" 'taildragger' floats from Seaplane Supply ( http://www.seaplanesupply.com/oldtimer.htm ).

Anybody got any warnings or words of advice?

The Quaker makes an outstanding float plane for relaxing, slow and easy flying off of water. Most of the guys around here added lights and used them for night flying. But beware.... it is so light that the slightest crosswind will flip it faster than you can blink. You can really only fly it when there is almost no wind.

Thanks, Jim. I suspected that a Quaker and a set of floats would be a good marriage. I'm looking forward to it!
