Somebody confirm my thoughts.
When I punch the boat it dies, when I slowly advance the throttle it transitions to the high-side fine. Am I too lean on the low??Or too fat??I think I am too lean??.
Thanks,
Jimbo

Jimbo, there's an old saying; rich runs...lean dies. The 257 needs a rich low needle. Starting #s would be 2 1/2 low, 7/8 to 1 high. And then fine tune from there. For the high needle, keep an eye on the plug color after running some hard laps ( no idleing time ), needs to be toasty brown.

Thanks Slow.
I figured I was too lean, I'm at about 1-3/4 low. I read the plug after a plug-chop , and the high is good. The bog kinda confused me, but makes sense.
