Default DEEP V DaVette

I wanted to show you guys what's in the works for this winter . I tested the deep V hull today with just a cardboard deck just to see how fast it is . I was very happy with it's speed and turning both left & right . Now I'll design an SK style deck to go with it . Here is a short video of the test hull .

Looks good Dana. Ironically it looks like it gets out of the hole faster than the drag boat. It's gonna be smokin with a modded engine on her

I don't know what shipping will be to UK yet . The boat is 13 1/2" wide at the transom and 45 1/2 " long .

Cheers mate thats the right size ,i believe anything under 46" you dont pay as much duty on so might not be too bad.She seems to run well in the video and i like the looks and the new deck and hatch look awesome.where the deck has those channels in it are those designed so you can put air vents in there ?.I think ive seen that idea before but youres look way better ,you design and build lovely boats thats for sure.

Yes I got the deck scoops idea from the 1970 Cuda ( American Muscle Car ) I'll leave it up to the customer to open them up for air vents . The side scoops can be opened up as vents as well as the back louvers . I'm going to put a small bull nose at the back of the canopy near the transom to act as a finger pull for easy canopy removal .

i like it other then the cowl. A raised up "window" around with an open deck would be nice. Are these gonna be the same price as the shallow v's?

hi dana ,,i just wanted to say that youre boats are awsome..i have one of youre davvette ss..and it is the one where you put a custom scoop on the roof..it looks good and have alot of people here at the sand wash drooling over it..a few days ago there were two people out the with little nitro boats ..and when i fired the boat up and let it go i was making alot of waves and they said dude be careful we were here first,,and the sand wash is very very large..im glad they didnt swerve into me or i would have cut them in half..befori got the boat there were a few people that said that boat had problems of sliding,,i checked the back and it was straight,so then i changed the steering blade to a 8 inch blade and this thing is taking corners like you wouldnt believe.....once again youre boats are f-----in awsome dude ..way to go....

Looks good . I have the 5" blade and a skeg under the engine and I've never had trouble with mine in the corners .
