A friend just emailed this to me, I told him he'd be better off spending the money & buying a quality boat.

4 layer glassed hull (sounds heavy) & 50 MPH.

How about if we give you some links to some good dealers of RC boats in Oz?
Seriously, we'd rather see you save a few more dollars now so that later you can buy something that won't turn you off from boating or be a complete waste of your hard-earned dollars. You'll spend more initially but end up with something a lot better and place a big old smile on your face.

Yea tell him to save his money and buy a better boat,if he must buy chinese then the arrow shark boats arent bad for the money especially the cats which dont seem to be bad quality. That said id only buy the hull and get the motor and hardware elsewhere so if it were me id buy from a reputable dealer and get a well known rtr package like the whh boats like the SG or Magnum which seem to be very popular and no one ever says a bad word about them or the after sales service. Not sure what the shipping is to Aus [X(] , i dont know whats available over in AUS but im sure someone will stock them ?.I notice that boat comes with an AM radio which everyone seems to say is a bad idea for gas boats.

I've bought stuff from RC jets, also from Adelaide Model Boat Center & Ozspec Hobbies here & WHH & Bonzi O.S. I told him to come & have a chat with me before he bought anything. If I get another monohull it will be the Sidewinder from Retallick (support the local, plus it's an awesome hull) & if I get a cat it'll probably be one of the sonic racing ones. I've done a lot of research before I bought anything for the wooden boat I'm building, I'll make sure he does the same.
