epoxy will go over it but it wouldnt add any strength though on its own, maybe a minimal amount but thats it.

Hey rogerp1,

Is it a wood hull?

When I made my first outrigger (wood), I thought I needed extra strength so I glassed the outsides with cloth and resin but it added a lot of weight to it and to find out I realy didn't need it. I have since then made another rigger but this time I didn't use and cloth and resin to make the hull stronger. To make the rigger stronger, just add extra pieces of wood to all the joints in the corners.
Use the epoxy to seal the hull after you finish it.

Mark

P.S. I can post some pics if you would like to see.
