hey there i bought a nimbus from a man on ebay, after finding out i was a newbie to boats he was very keen to sell to me!!
it turns out to have a broken prop shaft and the man has vanished lol
so my question is what size propshaft do i get for this thing and where do i get it from? i live in the uk so im finding it hard to make any progress. also i think a knew proppeller wouldnt do any harm as it seems to be a little chipped.
any help would be great thanks ppl

you need a square end flex shaft . the shaft on those are 1\4" turned down to 3\16"
the prop is a 78mm aluminium prop. i put a 70mm prop on mates boat went much quicker .
to get the cable out you need to take the strut of then everything just slides out .
also what makes you think it is broken as the boat is fitted with a clutch . so it will turn freely the prop will spin up when the engine is revving.

i was a bit weary of them when they have more info on why you might not be able to get through to them via email than they do anything else.
hence i gave up as soon as the 1st email got returned.
i took the old prop shaft out today thanks to the guidance from you guys, the square end didnt have hardly any grip to the clutch almost like a rounded screw if that makes sence.

right i got the propshaft from prestwich models and fitted it in minutes, all i can say is this boat is the worst thing i have ever bought. its more like a rowing boat than anything else.
i hope i can get a good poker win then its straight on the phone to bonzi lol

you can make them faster. take the carb off and chuck it in the bin.
put a zenoah insulater bloke on and a 644 carb.
take the exhaust off and also bin it and add a tuned pipe then change that big prop that comes on them
for a smaller prop like a 70mm did this to a mates boat big improvement in speed
then he run into the side of my boat with it just to say 'thanks'
