Default XHB-450

I just got another XHB-450 I dont here much talk about these boats on here. With just a little work this HYDRO out ran
my PROBOAT by over 20' on a 200 yd straight run. Im sure this one will be just as quick.

Never mind with the pics,
just looked it up and I know what they are.

I don't think you will here much talk (positive ones) about that Hydro, I think there is a thread somewhere about them.

They are all over Ebay and other places.
not the best 26cc engine, muffler should be replaced by a tune pipe, and the 27Mhz AM radio should be dumped as it is extremely recommended to not use AM in gas boats.

but for $300 to $500 (depending where you get it) its a place to start.

I think this is the one? not great by all accounts and id def rather go the zippkits route and build one ,you could build one and stick a zen in there for the same price or not much more than that thing and have a boat capable of high 50s with a stock zenoah. That boat weighs in at 30 lb [X(] you will be lucky to get 20 mph with that motor in that heavy lump.

Dan
This is not my first boat.I also have an Express Craft Lighting Cat, Express Craft GTX, and a Proboat Hydro. I also fly
gas airplanes and have 2 Bergen EB gas helicopters. All on 2.4 Ghz. Not sure where Mart got the 30 lbs. from mine weighs
in at 21.3 lbs. I agree Homelites are not the best gas engines out there but with a little work ot the exhaust port and manifold
some work on the prop replace the carb and adjust the rear wing 3mm up. I've got about $550 in the boat and it has no problem
out running my $1200 Proboat Hydro. With a 7mph tail wind the boat ran 45.4 mph and 39.6 on the back leg.
Not bad for $550.

When you get a little more experince in the hobby you'll learn how to make your boat
lighter and run faster.

And Roper88 - when you get a little more experience in the hobby you might stop buying XHB-450 hydros

I have 2 Express Craft boats and a Proboat Hydro. Just bought this boat for a knock around boat, it turned out to be a great boat
if you don't have the knowledge to make your boat fast thats not my fault. and as far as experince in the hobby.

Helicopters 4 years. T Rex 450 SE V2, 2 T Rex 600N's, 2 Bergen EB Gas Helicopters
Planes 15 years. 97" P51, 84" Sundowner. 80" Pawnee, 102" Extra 330, 87" Geebee Type S
Boats 11 years. ExpressCraft Lighting Cat, ExpressCraft GTX, Proboat Hydro, XHB-450
Trucks 6 years. Lois 1/8 LST2, Lois 1/8 8ight-1, TMAX 3.3
all on 2.4 Ghz

I'm sure I have the experince

It is Justaddwata - perhaps if you frequented the forum and added to discussions you might know that one

My statement has more to do with Ropers condescending remark "when you have experience you might..."
FunRC - you yourself said it is a good way to get into the hobby - I agree that your product (that you still fail to list yourself as a distributor of) has its a role to fill and I cant say I have trashed it. But for Hotshot Roper to be using it as his speed demon is (to me) comical. (Despite his decades of espertise)

Justaddwata I beleive you brought up the experince issue " when you have more experince in the hobby you'll stop buying XHB-450'.
I didn't say it was a speed demon it want out run either one of my express boats but will out run my Proboat Hydro. Like i said i bought the boat as a knock around with a little work it turned out pretty quick. Instead of trashing this boat maybe some of these guys ought to try one their cheap enough.

common guy's lets play nice...

I too made the same error with roper and assumed he was a newb.

who ever decides to buy that particular boat that is up to them, but I would not recommend it to a new (or experience) boater, but this is only me.

The only thing I can see that a Proboat has over the XHB-450 is better paint job.
I like my Proboat Hydro and I like the XHB-450. Someone getting into the hobby I don't
think would go wrong with XHB-450 boat out of the box the PB my run a little faster. but for half has much
money and for a couple of hours of work and a different carb you can have a pretty
fast boat.
