Default How do you join a fiberglass deck and hull

Hello, I have seen a fue boats in different places where the deck and hull are seperate pieces. Just wondering how you would join the two....

Any info would be helpfull

i have used 3M 5200 sealent which has worked quite well for me in the past

Depends on the boat design. A flanged seam, shoebox, or seamless joint all requires slightly different products or techniqes. Your flange may require an adhesive and fiberglassing, or just glassing. Your shoebox style (most common with R/C) could get away with just adhesive and filler once cured, although I would still recommend glassing the inside joint together. The seamless would definately require fiberglassing the seam which is what I do with my own designs.
