Im new to boats and done alot of reading on hear but havent found anything about useing the spary foam stuff you use for insulation on your home. Useing it for floatation in your boat hule. i realize that you could not let it expand on your pushrods and stuff. it seems like it would work great because it expands in every little nuke and crany. I happen to have a can of it but wanted to see if its been used befor i spray it in my 1/12 miss bud. thanks

Theres plenty written about spray foam - all of it bad. DO NOT USE IT!!! The stuff in a can is great for the house - but terrible for a boat.
It can damage/deform your hull and will hold water over time too.
95% of gassers use pool flotation noodles - they are light, cheap, colorful, and they work![Wink](https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Two part expanding foam will also work but considerable care is needed. Stick with noodles.
Take a look through this thread for examples of what spray foam will do - http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_95...tm.htm#9542488

IT WILL SPLIT THE SEAMS OF THE HULL AND IT IS A PAIN IN THE ***** TO REMOVE. IT EXPANDS AND EXPANDS AND EXPANDS WHILE ABSORBING MOISTURE. JUST SAY NO TO FOAM SPRAY.
