Default Proboat Hypersport 48 Owners

My boat runs good for a short while then quits.
I thought it was maybe water getting back into the exhaust port because it seems so hard to start.
I had a few boats (Shockwave 55 SS,Blackjack 55,Enforcer Magnum 57) and this one is very hard to pull start.

Today I decided to examine the exhaust and I noticed it was clogged with a small round metal piece that looks like a knock out plug.

I used needle nose pliers and fished it out but its still very hard to start.

That Rio 51Z is starting to look better now isn't it?
You know that I'm just messing with you as I know what you've been going through the past few weeks between that boat and those PO*, I mean KOS electric boats.

That could have been the source of your overheating problem that you typed about recently. If it was blocking the water flow then it very well could have cooked the motor.

I think that their QC must be like where I work, let it go and when the customer complains then we'll fix it. This could be an issue with Zenoah though, not Pro Boat.
The overheating problem should have been a sign that something was amiss. Watch the water flow coming out all the time. I have an idea that it wasn't shooting out a good stream from day one.

Pull the spark plug out and try to pull the starter rope. If it is still hard to turn the engine over then it's toasted and needs to be rebuilt. If the water outlet was clogged from the start and you Overheated the engine before it was even broke in good,, Chances Are it's pretty much Toast.

No matter what call proboat and get a replacement for the issue.

Doesn't matter what manufacturer is at fault, just that you are not...

When I removed the spark plug it pulls easy,When I put the spark plug back in its difficult to pull the starter.
It will start and idle good until it gets warmed up then it quits after about 2 minutes. [&o]

Pro Boat is usually good to deal with unlike Venom.

I'd be all over proboat if I spent that $ and then it was un-usable after a month!

Go back to a quality warehouse hobbies boat!
The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of cheap price is forgotten.

Are you going to keep it now or sell it? If you run it, don't drive it like an old woman going to church on Sunday!

I tested the boat to make sure everything is working properly but decided not to keep it.
Its still difficult to pull start for me.
Took it to a hobby shop to resell.[]
