Default Ignition

I'm having a little trouble getting my old Picco P5 .21 to idle correctly for a long period of time. I've decided to buy an ignition for it but i was just curious if anybody had any thoughts on some good ones that will work for that motor. Thanks for any info!

There are battery setups you can get, I believe there are some at Tower Hobbies.

What are you doing for cooling when you let that idle for long periods of time?

Well i set it up on a block and ran some water through it so i could tune it. The idle just will not stay consistent thus the need for the ignition. But yeah when i was idleing it for the extended period of time i was running water through it and i'm pretty sure it worked well. when its going to be on the water i'm not planning to idle it much since i LOVE SPEED haha doesn't everyone
THANKS!

well, those things aren't designed to idle....they weren't exacltly meant for a cop car writing tickets. It is probably loading up with fuel at idle and cooling the glow plug. Get it running goo in the water adjusting the low speed for the best transition and tweaking the high speed. Forget about idling it around

The only nitro engine I ever saw idle well was a 4 stroke air craft engine some old fa**** had and he liked to watch his plane on the run way with the prop spining but never leave the ground, the guy drove me nuts as he was always in the way while trying to land. Any way throw that puppy in the water and rock and roll cause the she don't like slow.
