Helidirect.com has black carbon blades 325mm for trex that are the same as hyperion for 24.00. # CF-450MB

Are Carbon's harder to destroy? What about boom strikes? Whats the advantage compared to just switching the wood ones when they are old.

The wood blades people claim they work good for hovering. I think the wood not only flexes to much ,which causes the heli to bob up-down and all around but it is also is not very good for normal flight. my wood blades that came with my trex hde destroyed my boom while makeing a semi hard landing. Ive upgraded to the carbon boom. I was also getting a little tail wiggle with the woodies but when I switched to the fiber blades that came with my trex it stopped and there was so much difference in the flight its incredible. now the Align 325mm fiber blades are in my opinion junk. just to heavy. but the ones mentioned above are what the pro's like and are at half price. hope this helps , Mike.

The woodies are great blades and have a better price : performance by far when compared to most carbon blades. However, as cheap as the "hyperion" blades from helidirect.com are, its a different story...

I have been using woodies for a wide variety of mid-level 3D maneuvers, much more than hovering and they are performing great.
