Default Melted Integy Revo Clutch... Woops?

I noticed that my clutch had totally locked up on saturday after a day of bashing. I thought that my motor mount was off or I stripped a spur but... My clutch shoes actually melted and partcially melted to the inside of the clutch bell. About 10% of each clutch shoe is melted to the inside of the clutch bell. Haha... I think I am going to stay away from Integy... even more than I do now. I think my slipper clutch was too tight, could this have been the problem?

O yea, since the 'melt down' (ha, I crack myself up), I replaced the clutch with an aluminum Nova Racing Clutch and a 18t clutch bell. Now my gear ratio is 18/36

M.I.P. shoes, and a Robinson "Vented" flywheel, help keep clutch temps down......

Hey, just curious how the 18/36 gearing combo is working for you? Have you noticed significant increases in top end? Alsol, was this combo a direct fit or did you need to make modifications to get it to fit?

I havent tried out the new gearing yet. I was running 17/36 before so I hope I will get a little more top end. I really hate wheelies so thats why I always like to have high gear ratios.

Upgrade to a werks racing clutch, its what I run, tad bit expensive, but the performance is great.

I am going to use my Nova one until I burn it out. I had it laying around (brand new) so I just threw it on. Im not really fond of non-metal clutches though... I have OCD and I always think the plastic/carbon/etc is burning away... hahaha
