Are you breaking it in? Is this the first tank of fuel? what temp is it at when it shuts down? If you've already done the break-in, how much fuel has been thru it? What's the outside temp?
More info......

Suunds like you are running too lean and the engine is overheating. I need more information though. Is it sputtering or losing RPMs? What are the temps of the engine? Try richening the HSN first and then go from there.

In other word, you broke t in in cold wather without temp gage.....and now it won't run over a minute ??????
Yup....sounds lean to me too......possibly already fried. Try richenning the HSN about 18th turn, and see if it'll continue to run, tune from there.....and get a temp gage....t's a 20-30.00 purchase that will save you hundreds in engines and engine repairs.

here here kliff i agree. the person probably neglected to read the break in manual and now the engine may be fried. however theres to little info to say for sure he could have gotten some bad fuel or mixed with to little oil lubricant any number of things but until i tryed a diff type fuel no smoke sounds bad on a new engine.

Did you try richening the needle? Just make a 1/8 turn counter-clockwise and if there is no smoke and it still stalls, make another 1/16th turn counter-clockwise. Keep doing that until you have a good smoke trail and it is not losing power or stalling. Also, get a temp guage. The duratrax flashpoint can be had for 20 dollars USD on towerhobbies.com.

Snug the screws on the backplate where your EZ Start bolts to your motor. Might or might not take care of your problem but worth a shot and only takes a minute. Also take a minute to read about your LSN and HSN in your manual, it may save you a bunch of frustration.
