RE: TMAXX PRO 15
Well, if the motor is locked up, that could mean if u ended up buying it; that u might possibly have to do a complete rebuild of the engine(assuming parts for the .15 are still available) or just end up upgrading to the 2.5 or 3.3 engine. A locked up motor definitely does not sound like something good to say the least.....

RE: TMAXX PRO 15
the original narrow a- arms are a little tougher to come by than the newer widemaxx a- arms. So if one narrowmaxx a- arm is broke you will have to try and find a different one that is of the narrow nature. The newer widemaxx a-arms are alot easier to find and will probably be easier for alot longer than the original narrow arms. SO if you got the Pro T- Maxx you might as well just upgrade all the a- arms to the widemaxx stance.

RE: TMAXX PRO 15
then if you did that you would have to upgrade the drive shafts as well. Then you would want to upgrade the differentials, parts of the transmission................... SCREW IT!!!!!!! lot easier if you just bought a different 2.5 T- Maxx, alot less hassle and work. Good luck though

Midnightrider, if you get a chance copy and paste the address in a post so we can view it and tell you if it's really worth it. To do a overhaul on a nitro engine is sometimes more costly then the cost of a new engine.
Say the pro 15 is bought for $250.
Then you buy new piston and sleeve. $50
Connecting rod $10
Crank shaft $15
Bearings $10-40
There's allready $100 at least, NOT counting shipping For each or all together.
A new motor $100-150-175 For a Brand New Engine. You don't know how much use that engine allready has. Or any other internal damage til you tear it apart.
Just my opinion. Good luck to you.

RE: TMAXX PRO 15
if you end up with it, I have a couple spare sets of arms I could get rid of cheap...
if the pro .15 is locked up, and it's just locked up from sitting a long time, the bearings are locked up, they're known for that, you can either clean them out or change them. if it's locked up for other physical reasons, a piston and sleeve is relatively cheap on traxxas.com along with any other needed parts, don't know if I'd recommend that for a newbie, but I would recommend a OS CV RX .18, they're about $120 on towerhobbies, they're a direct bolt in if you have a dremel to cut the crank a little shorter.

RE: TMAXX PRO 15
I bought a Pro 15 with a new
OS-18 (in the box) 1 gal fuel, tool box full of parts and glow starter for 225.00. I had to meet the guy at the hobby store since it had just been serviced.Offer them 100.00 then go buy an engine. They are a fun truck.
