Default What amperage are you pulling with your Variable Pitch Prop?

Hello fellow modelers! Just curious about what kinda amperage you are pulling with your variable pitch props. I have a new "Pro" VPP from HL on the way which will be paired with an AXI 2212/34 motor. I am trying to decide between the new Thunderbird 9 & 18 amp controlers from Castle Creations. I would like to go with the lighter TB9 but am not sure if I will need a controller capable of more than 9 amps. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Art *)
