Have 2 Taigen IR tanks and really enjoy them. Thinking about buying airsoft for my next 2. Do any of the brands react in any way when hit? The Taigen IR's kinda shake when hit and stop after 5 hits. IF the airsoft ones don't react when hit--do you just have to observe hits when having a battle with one or more tanks? Are the Taigen airsofts more reliable than the HL's?

Airsoft tanks do not react when hit. You just have to observe the hits and make your rules and rulings. There are "marking" airsoft BBs. But, if you have a nice paint job, you'll have to wipe off the markings with a damp rag. Also, airsoft could/might knock off some detailing, which is why many people don't do airsoft.
I keep my airsoft, but I also detail my tanks. So, when the family goes driving we shoot everything except the tanks.
