Setting up rudder tiller:
A few questions.
My hardware pack came with two pairs of nelson control horns; I used these on the elevators and ailerons.
1) For the rudder tiller, do I use one of the long leftover screws from the nelson horns and cut the head off?
2) The du-bro horn set has the two aluminum cone-shaped nuts and two beveled black plastic washers, which look like they are designed to sit in a countersunk hole. Do I use the plastic washers, or just tighten the aluminum cone nuts down onto the rudder itself?
3) What do I use for the tailwheel tiller rod? A piece of 4-40 threaded rod from the pushrod package? And does it need to be secured on either side of the rudder with nuts, or do I just screw it in so it's even on both sides and use a drop of CA to secure it? What size hole do I need to drill in the tailwheel hardpoint for the rod?
Thanks.

1. Yes.
2. I use neither.
3. Use a piece of 6-32 all thread or cut tyhe head off a 3" 6-32 screw, tighten down from either side with nuts and washers.

Not to be a jerk, but your answer to question # 2 is a little lacking
What do you use instead, and if you don't use the included nuts why are they included, or why aren't the "proper" ones included...[&:]

RE: Setting up rudder tiller:
When I build a plane I just drill the hardpoint with a 9/64 drill and thread the long 8-32 screw through the rudder hardpoint. That's it. No nuts, no washers, etc. The aluminum nuts are pretty heavy and weight in the tail is usually not welcome.
I'm sure they are needed in some appliactions that's why they are included, such as with a thin flat rudder.

I'm sure there's a good bit of info here if you do a search.
