Approx sizing of the chute, and guess to what it might look like deployed. This is of a chute that is downsized a slight amount from what it should be. I believe the real one is 25 sq meters area.

This shows the cylindrical volume available for the chute, along with the ram, and 6 springs. Carbon rods run fwd (around the vertical fin tube spars), running to above the speedbrake area, where some sort of deploy actuation would be.

Test fit of some cheap fabric material cut to the needed size, to see if it would fit into the chute cylinder. Success. :-)

The gray clampy thing clamps to 2 CF rods that hold the chute ram, inside the chute cylinder. When the green catch is raised, allowing the gray clampy thing and the ram to shoot aft, hopefully pushing the chute into the breeze, etc...

Current idea for the chute release cylinder. This has to still be tied to a bulkhead (preferred) to help take out the loads from the chute. The brown cord is a approx .10" dia stretchable shock cord, that will run to the chute shroud lines.

RHS wingtip cut out, so now I have to finish it... LED test. I'll install a nonwired LED in the front socket of the gray "bezel" I made. All that somehow gets installed in a smaller cutout hole. The fun begins...

The gray wide cone shaped jig has a piece of G-10 curved strip inside it. Now begins gluing all the .015" thk outer petals to the G-10 strip inside the jig.

Checkfit for size. There is an air gap between the outer pipe and the inside of this new exhaust nozzle part. Same with another air gap between the fuselage wall and the new nozzle. I think this should provide enough cooling without the nozzle having a meltdown. One way to find out!...

These gizmos get attached to outside of the petals. These are not really structural, other than to just keep their own shape. (ie, don't melt!)

Sensors available for turbine after using the reload function. There is a single lead that goes from the turbine ECU to the primary receiver, using the 3 way harness.
